A colourful detailed composition of Smeaton's Tower with a river of poppies flowing in from the top and out through a window. The Tower is shown as a two tone image instead of its traditional "RED" stripes. Flanked by faded forestry to enhance the mood. The first of my images to be produced on canvas.
Available in a stunning black Float Frame, Printed on the best quality canvas or artistic paper available. The frame is a black wood effect with a gap to the canvas, producing a floating effect.
The Image was produced for remembrance day in 2018.
Paper prints are supplied rolled if "Unframed"

The Towers History
The centrepiece of Plymouth Hoe, Smeaton's Tower was originally built on the Eddystone reef in 1759 at a cost of £40,000. It was taken down in the early 1880s when it was discovered that the sea was eroding the rock it was standing on.
Approximately two thirds of the structure was moved - stone by stone - to its current resting place on Plymouth Hoe.
Now standing at 72 foot high, Smeaton's Tower offers striking, elevated views of Plymouth Sound and the city from its lantern room. This room, along with the rest of the lighthouse, has been carefully restored to its original glory.

“Surreal Art
”I love most types of photography, from urban street to wild-life, macro and even weddings. Most of all, I love “Fine Art Grunge Composition” Or as I call it “Surreal Art” or fantasy. I use recognisable images of landmarks to push the imagination and help the viewer form their own unique adaptation. Each artistic composition is created from a surreal idea digitally compiled in an imaginary scenario. I create my compositions on a high resolution computer screen canvas, by overlaying image elements, layering masking and blending textures. I then use a graphics tablet to paint with shades of light and colour.
My inspiration came from an in depth training course developed by the renowned Fine Art Grunge Composition artist “Sebastian Michaels” and a brilliant Spanish student of his “Marco Escobedo” I aspire to follow in his footsteps and hope one day to exhibit my work on an international level. I give many thanks to Sebastian and all course members for the wealth of image segments and textures made available for use throughout my work. The "Kaya Gallery" and "The Fishermans Arms" in Plymouth have a selection of my work on display. Thank you for viewing. See you back soon Terry
